The Valleys
The hard work that our residents at The Valleys have put in to create the lovely poppies in aide of Remembrance Day this weekend are now hung up and decorating the main reception of the home. The entire display looks absolutely wonderful and is a touching tribute to those who have gave their lives for our country.
Poppy making has commenced here at The Valleys & where better to start than celebrating these hands, the ones that have helped guide us through the generations. Our residents have each made their own poppies and most can be seen photographed here.
A lovely way to pay respect.
We hope everyone had a fun bonfire night on Saturday, here at The Valleys we certainly did! There were sparklers, a yummy buffet and fireworks a-plenty for all of our residents and staff members to enjoy.
Hopefully you also had a wonderful time and stayed safe!

From everyone here at The Valleys, we wish you all a happy halloween. We hope tonight you are mindful of those that may experience some difficulties over this period, whilst many people would like to enter into the spirit of halloween and enjoy trick or treating this evening, for some people this can be unsettling. Many of them will not be used to unscheduled visits to their door and so Halloween celebrations have, in the past, been a cause of concern.
Although they understand and appreciate the fun of Halloween they prefer not to be called upon by trick or treaters. We would ask that when you enjoy your Halloween fun, you respect any home that has a poster on the front door saying no to trick or treaters.

Here at The Valleys, our residents have been getting into the halloween mood recently, we followed suit in one of our recent game sessions, putting a halloween twist on a game of hoopla, with the target being witches hats!
A very enjoyable game and a great way to build up to halloween.
Warburtons have been on a survey mission to find the nation’s favourite comfort food for the colder months & you’ll never guess what it was…..Crumpets! Those yummy, soft & fluffy delights are supposedly perfect for a cosy night in.
And it just so happens that National Crumpet Week is 17th-23rd Oct & we have been indulging in a firm favourite but also testing out some of the recommended toppings.
The big question is, how do you eat yours?
