After watching the win on penalties at the weekend, everyone at The Valleys will be hoping that the Three Lions can once again provide an entertaining game tonight against the Netherlands. We’re all looking forward to seeing if they can make it into the final and will be sure to have the game on at the home for residents to watch and cheer them on.

Our fantastic kitchen staff here at The Valleys have been busy cooking up some delicious meals for our residents recently. There’s been excellent sweet treats that are on display and plenty of fantastic roasts made up for everyone to enjoy in the lovely warm weather we’re getting at the moment.
Top marks for our chefs great work and we know our residents will enjoy the spread put out for them!
Our kitchen magicians here at The Valleys have been preparing some dishes for Summer….if only it would arrive. Everyone likes a cheese platter and a lovely salad. All we need now is some sunshine to go with it!

Here at The Valleys our residents enjoyed taking part in the D-Day 80th Anniversary Celebrations.
We had plenty of singing, dancing and laughter to go alongside a delicious Afternoon Tea! What a fantastic afternoon and a great big ‘thank you’ to Paula Marie for her company today – the residents, families and staff loved it!…
Here at The Valleys, it’s always the weather for an ice cream at the home! Our wonderful residents enjoyed a sweet afternoon treat that put smiles on everyone’s faces, a lovely way to cool down in some rather warm weather.
Everyone here would like to thank Nico’s Ice Cream for their fantastic service and even better Ice Cream!
Here at The Valleys, our staff are full of enthusiasm and have put themselves forward to be ‘splatted’, not only for the amusement of our residents but to raise money for the activity fund at the home. We are taking votes from everyone as to who they want to get splatted!
If you would like to place a vote then please visit reception at the home – each vote costs £1 and whoever has the most at the end of June will face the ‘splat’
What better way to introduce Mental Health Awareness week into activities here at The Valleys than an afternoon of Animal Therapy! The wide selection of friendly visitors put smiles on all of our residents faces, along with a familiar friend in the running duck who you may not recognise but will remember from last month when he made a splash in his bath – he has grown significantly since then!
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable and fantastic day at the home.
Here at The Valleys we held our monthly church service recently, the weather was lovely and bright with a little bit of rain but that certainly didn’t dampen our spirits.
There were many prayers and lots of hymns sang by our residents, and even though we didn’t have music for one of the hymns, we surprised ourselves with how well we recalled the melody!
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
Here at The Valleys, we have been loving the recent good weather, and last Friday some of our residents and staff took advantage of it and held a gardening club session! Preparations are being made and discussions being held about what we are going to do in order to get our garden looking fantastic and ready for the summertime.
We look forward to seeing what happens!
Here at The Valleys our residents recently had a wonderful time as we welcomed Rochelle back to the home, this time for a celebration of the best of British music. With lots of dancing and singing along to each song our residents loved listening to Rochelle’s excellent voice once again.
Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable time and we hope Rochelle will be back soon with more great entertainment!
