The Valleys
At The Valleys Care Home, we’re excited to welcome the month of October with a calendar packed of fun and engaging activities for our residents! We’re looking forward to playing many fun games in the home and taking part in beneficial and enjoyable activities, and of course, who could forget what the end of the month brings with all the spook-tacular shenanigans we have planned for Halloween!
It is sure to be another great month here.
Here at The Valleys, we can all agree that there is nothing better than getting your PJs on and having a catch with up with the ladies right? That’s exactly what some of our lovely ladies at the home did recently, as it approached the evening they all settled down with a delicious cup of hot chocolate as well!
An incredibly cosy and great way to round off the day.
Here are some more amazing snapshots of the fun we had last Friday. Emma Kelsey visited and everyone got their best singing voices out and had a little dance along to the music. Jo was at hand with the fabulous face paint and our Head Chef Andy was bossing the BBQ alongside our fantastic kitchen team.
All of us here at The Valleys would like to thank everyone for their attendance and donations, all funds raised have gone straight into our residents fund and will be spent on more fun and exciting activities in the future!
We had an absolutely fantastic time with The Valleys Carnival. An afternoon of hook the duck, face painting, dancing, singing, raflle prizes and much much more was exactly what the doctor ordered and it certainly did not disappoint.
It was a great turnout and all the activities were great fun, it was fantastic to see so many smiles on faces and people enjoying themselves. So much fun that we couldn’t contain it all in one post, so stay tuned as there are many more photos of our fun-fulled day last Friday to come….
Here at The Valleys, one of our lovely ladies was reunited with her husband recently to celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary! Their friends and loved ones gathered to celebrate the happy couple and their 60 years of marriage over a sip of fizz and some afternoon tea reminiscing over the years.

Here at The Valleys, we have recently had a new resident move in to the home. One of our new domestic team, Lisa, spent some time getting the room ready and looking good for their arrival.
With a lovely hamper of goodies, and a gorgeous towel swan this is just the beginning of the great person-centred care and support we offer here at The Valleys.
As always, our fantastic kitchen team at The Valleys baked this wonderful birthday cake for one of our special ladies recently. Everyone deserves to blow out their candles and make a wish and our manager lent a helping hand blowing those candles out as requested.
We want all of our residents to feel special so they all receive personalised cakes with their favourite filling and toppings to celebrate with friends on their special day!
Here at The Valleys, we would like to welcome our newest member of the domestic team at the home. Cherie has gone above and beyond since arriving and takes great pride in creating masterpieces on our residents’ beds such as this swan – it has certainly made our residents smile.
On arrival at The Valleys, our residents also receive these lovely welcome basket which are made with love by Cherie and the rest of our domestic team!
A few of our residents here at The Valleys fancied a short trip down to the local cafe for a drink and a sweet treat, so that is exactly what we did! They all indulged in a cuppa and a slice of cake which went down very well with everyone.

An afternoon packed full of activities here at The Valleys recently. Our residents are usually quite competitive and enjoy a game or two of anything when they can, and with the weather being absolutely ideal recently we took our games out into the garden!
There were smiles all round and everyone enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air.
