Here at The Valleys, we were once again joined by the always wonderful and gorgeous Rochelle. For the residents that were able to, they were dancing and clapping along to an afternoon of brilliantly selected and performed showtimes!
As always, a very enjoyable experience when Rochelle visits the home.
What better way to enjoy ourselves indoors at The Valleys than with a challenging puzzle. Some of our residents recently opted for this as the weather was too rainy to be outside enjoying things.

Here at The Valleys, our monthly church sessions in the daycare centre have become a bit of a highlight within the home. Attendances continue grow as our sessions become more and more popular.

Here at The Valleys, our residents love it when animal therapy visit the home each month. It’s a very beneficial experience for all of them, as they can have a tactile and sensory experience whilst interacting with a range of fascinating and wonderful animals.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we stand together to break the stigma surrounding mental health. At The Valleys, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, especially for our residents.
Join us in spreading awareness and understanding. Remember, it’s okay not to be okay, and seeking help is a sign of strength. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
Here at The Valleys, our residents recently spent the day doing some animal therapy. They were visited by some great little friends, a range of fluffy animals and reptiles. This is great for our residents as they can have a tactile and sensory experience whilst interacting with a range of fascinating and wonderful animals.

We had a lovely visit recently from Rosie who is our Activities Team Leader’s daughter, it’s her birthday next week & she brought some cake & party bags to share with our residents, or her Ladies & Gentlemen as she calls them!
There was lots of cake, car racing, tattoos and dinosaur accessories, a very enjoyable afternoon for all.
It has been a few weeks of summer holiday fun here at The Valleys, with a wide variety of different activities taking place. Our daycare unit is now fully open with bookings being taken weekly, and the crazy weather decided to give us a little break allowing us to break out some garden games including some rubber duck fishing!
Our church service is also up and running now every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 3:30 with the help of the Parish of Bottesford, Ashby & Riddings – it has all been a very enjoyable few weeks here at the home.
Here at The Valleys we’d like to take a second and highlight the fantastic work of our head chef Andy and his team, who have been providing our residents with great meals consistently since he joined us.
We managed to get a few photos of some of their delightful creations that you can take a look at on this post – we are particularly big fans of the dessert assortment as those cupcakes look amazing!
Here at The Valleys we are very excited to start our new book club, with 3 books written by our day care resident Pat. We’re prepared to follow our heroine Marsha Riordan through a world of twists & turns, there will be more updates along the way as we begin this new journey.
