Constructed in the beautiful grounds of Balmore Country House, less than a mile from the centre of Ruddington, our apartments come in a range of one-bedroom designs. You might be looking for an apartment just for yourself, or perhaps you are a couple who would like a little bit more space; whatever your circumstances, we believe we have an apartment that will suit you.

Our aim is to create a community where you can have privacy, dignity, and are able to do things for yourself should you want to. When you feel the need for help, we can provide that assistance. This is important as we don’t want you to feel that you must fend for yourself on those occasions when that feels too much for you. We think it’s the best of both worlds.

Accessed through your own front door, our apartments are designed to give you independent living, in the easiest possible way. First rate design has been married with a range of high quality fixtures and fittings to ensure that your home from home delivers in every way. There are range of designs to suit individual tastes and space requirements. We encourage you to come along and have a look around so you can appreciate for yourself the choice on offer.

Every apartment is equipped with its own ensuite wetroom with shower, basin and toilet. There is a lounge with a dining area and well-designed kitchenette, complete with microwave and tea and coffee maker. Apartments are initially unfurnished, but we can supply a range of high quality furniture and furnishings including wardrobes, dining table and chairs, as well as an armchair for you to relax in. You have complete control over how your apartment looks and we encourage you to personalise the apartment with your own furniture, should you wish to. We want you to fee that you are in your own home from home.

At The Ruddington Retirement Apartments we want you to feel that you are part of a vibrant community, and we have created a range of beautiful facilities for you to enjoy.

The reception area is a lovely space, offering a warm and friendly welcome to everyone who comes to visit. Adjacent to the reception there are several seating areas where you can relax, catch up with friends and family and have a coffee or a chat. This space also incorporates a dining area which overlooks the reception area and provides plenty of space for a family get together, perhaps for a Sunday lunch. There is a large and bright communal lounge for you to sit in at your leisure, should you decide you would like a change of scene from your apartment.

For the more active residents we have a small gym with a good range of equipment to enable you to stay fit and healthy. Externally the Care Village has a lovely courtyard garden and some of the apartments have their own balcony space. Whatever you want to do with your day we are confident there is a space to suit your needs.

Buy in care as and when you need it

Our apartments are designed for those who want to retain their independence. However, at the same time as enjoying the sense of freedom that comes with having your own space, we want you to have complete peace of mind.

Through our linked domiciliary care company, you can have full access to a range of personal services – so help with washing, dressing, meal provision and laundry. You maintain privacy and dignity but when you feel the need for assistance we can be on hand to provide it. This is important as we don’t want you to feel that you have to fend for yourself on those occasions when that feels too much for you. We think it’s the best of both worlds.
